Thanks to everyone at the Shimla who made our evening very special. We came to celebrate our sons 27th birthday which you promptly made even more special by kindly decorating the room we were in with birthday banners etc. Our food was delicious and service faultless. It was their 6 year olds first visit and she had the best time particularly when she found the "mirror" . Thanks again and see you soon

I live in Switzerland these days, but my partner and I have been coming here every Christmas Eve (as well as on other trips to the UK during the year) for 15 years now and it never disappoints. The food is excellent, the setting is cosy, but most important of all, the staff are wonderful. Always a warm welcome, attentive and great banter. Compared to other curry houses, they really focus on the little touches and kind gestures that make all the difference. They just make an effort. And that goes a long way. Long may it continue!

Stopped here again as we were passing through on the canal, love this place, food is excellent and staff greet you with a very warm welcome. Had the Cursi Chicken dish which has to be ordered the day before to marinade, excellent as usual.

Haven’t been for curry in a while as I got a bit bored of the same old same old but decided to try again for my anniversary dinner on a Saturday night. Went in on spec without a booking and although they were busy they squeezed us in. The staff were so friendly and accommodating I was blown away. My wife has dietary needs and they were awesome in getting her sorted. Food was absolutely delicious and with Cobra on tap and decently priced cocktails we couldn’t have asked for much more. This will now be our go to curry house for the foreseeable future. Thank you Shimla Palace!

Staff are super friendly and really accommodating. They made a fuss of our 3 year old which she loved and made us feel welcome. Food tasted great and was good value. Thanks for a great meal!
